Senior Ladies Football:

The senior ladies are home to Naomh Muire, Lower Rosses on Sunday morning with throw in time of 11.00am. All support appreciated.  On Sunday the Senior ladies travelled to Downings this morning for their second league game. The game was played in gale-force winds and the Mac Cumhaills girls struggled to settle in the conditions. Downings raced into an early lead going 3.2 to a point up inside the opening ten minutes. When the Mac Cumhaills girls got settled they denied the home team the space to continue as they had started with Eimear Gillooley immense at full back breaking down attack after attack. The game continued to flow end to end with neither team backing down from the battle in front of them and it’s a credit to this young Mac Cumhaills team that they refused to lie down. This game will stand to them as the season develops. Well done again to Ava Martin (1.0) and Eileen sweeney (0.1) who both got on the score sheet in only their second senior game. Full time score Downings 4.10  Mac Cumhaills 1.8.

Senior Men’s Football:

Brilliant results for both men’s teams who travelled to Glencolmcille to play Naomh Columba on Sunday. The reserves won out 2.07 to 1.07 with the goals coming from Conor Lillis and Mickey Patton. In the senior game both teams had to battle the weather conditions at times but a Darren O’Leary point had Mac Cumhaills 5 points to 4 up at half time. It was point for point in the second half again and in the end it was a match winning score from Chad Mc Sorley to clinch the points for Mac Cumhaills in a well-contested game by both sides. Seán Mac Cumhaills:  0.10 – Naomh Columba: 0.09. The Senior and Reserve Footballers play Four Masters on Sunday with reserve game at 1.30 and seniors at 3.00. Continued support appreciated.
