Club Notes: Week ending – 25th of November 2018

 

Senior AGM:

The Annual General Meeting of CLG Seán Mac Cumhaills will be held on Monday the 17th of December 2018 at 8.00pm in the Clubhouse. Nominations for Officers and Motions should be forwarded to: Alan Martin, Sessiaghoneill, Ballybofey, Co Donegal or secretary.seanmccools.donegal@gaa.ie by Monday the 10th of December. LyIT:

Congratulations to Adam Lynch on being part of the Letterkenny I.T. team who beat Dundalk I.T. to win the Higher Education GAA Senior Football Division Two League last week in Garvaghey.

 

Congratulations to St. Columba’s:

The U-20 girl’s Gaelic team were crowned Ulster Champions in their division last week beating  St. Mary’s Newry on a score of St.Columba’s 5-03 – St.Marys Newry 1-05. Well done to all the team.

 

GAA Tackling Bullying Workshop:

Thank you to all the Coaches who attended the GAA Tackling Bullying Workshop held in the Club House. In 2013 the GAA became the first sporting organisation to launch a national anti-bullying campaign in response to a growing awareness of the impact of bullying in society and particularly in sport. The GAA Code of Behaviour “Maintaining Appropriate Levels of Behaviour in sport with our Children and Young People” provides guidance in relation to the prevention of bullying and can be accessed at: http://www.gaa.ie/…/child-welfare-and-pro…/code-of-behaviour

 

Club Shop:

The Club Shop (in the main clubhouse) has a wide selection of club crested shorts, bobble hats, gear bags, sliotars and footballs for all age grades, as well as socks and Gaelic gloves which would make perfect presents. Our full range of club crested t-shirts, squad tops, hoodies, training bottoms, gilets and jackets are available from the club shop section of the O’Neill’s website. Anyone looking for anything from the shop at the club can contact Breege on 087 642 8398.

 

Bingo:

The Bingo will take place in the Villa Rose Hotel on Sunday with an 8.30pm start. The Snowball jackpot is €9,000 for 45 numbers or less or €500 for 50 numbers or less. Everyone is welcome.

 

Lotto:

There was no winner of this week’s lotto. The numbers drawn were 13, 16, 21 and 28. There were 2 match 3 winners: Margaret Ward, Glenties and Luke Gavigan who receive €75 each. Next week’s jackpot is €9,900.
