Club Notes: Week ending – 10th of September 2017

 

Senior B Championship:

Seán MacCumhaills 0-8 – Gaoth Dobhair 0-12

Our reserves missed out on a semi-final spot with defeat to Gaoth Dobhair on Saturday evening in Glenswilly. Both teams were level at four points each at half-time, David White got all the MacCumhaills scores in the first half. Mac Cumhaills could only record another 4 points in the second half and lost out in the end by 4 points. Sean MacCumhaills scorers: David White 0-4, Shaun McGowan, Ryan Duffy, Michael Lynch, James Lynch 0-1 each.

 

Championship Quarter-Finals:

Many thanks to all the club members who helped out on Sunday with the games. A special word of praise to Patsy Patton and his team on ensuring that the playing surface was in pristine condition.

 

All-Ireland Football Tickets:

There’ll be a draw for 3 All-Ireland Football Championship Final tickets on Thursday evening. Only paid up members before the 31st of March 2017 can be entered into the draw. Deadline for expressions of interest is Wednesday at 9.00pm. Please text Eugene Gallagher on 086 609 8801 with your name if you wish to be entered into this draw.

 

Bingo:

The Bingo takes place in The Villa Rose Hotel on Sunday night with an 8.30pm start. The Snowball jackpot is €9,000 for 45 numbers or less. All are very welcome.

 

Lotto:

There was no winner of this week’s lotto. The numbers drawn were 5, 12, 16 and 25. There was no match 3 winner so 3 envelopes were pulled out: Gary Tyrell c/o the bingo, Pat Mc Guire, Castlefin and Meabh Sweeney, c/o Nuala Byrne who all receive €30 each. Next week’s lotto prize is €3,600 and Stephen Lynch’s team is selling.

 

Training Schedule:

Training takes place at the club unless otherwise specified. If there is a change of time/location it will be noted on Facebook or sent via text from the team manager. Training will cost €3 once a week and all players must have their membership paid. Please bring gum shield/helmet and a bottle of water. Other training info sent via group messages/Facebook.

U6/U8/U10/U12 Hurling:  Sunday at 12.00 to 1.00pm.

U-8 Football: Saturday Mornings at 10.30am.

U-8/U-10s Hurling: Sunday at 12.00pm.

U-11 Boys Football: Friday 6.00 – 7.00pm.

U-13 Girls Football: Tuesday 6.00 – 7.00pm.
